Where is good to eat Mexican food in the Silom area of Bangkok?

Reader’s E-mail:

Hi, I am staying at The Heritage Silom Hotel. Can you suggest somewhere close by to go for a decent Mexican meal?

Try Patty’s Fiesta on the Silom Road.

Small Fun Restaurant

This is a fun small independently run restaurant. Its been around for years. I first eat there in 2002. The food is Tex-Mex, rather then authentic Mexican, but it has burritos, fajitas, chimichangas, nachos and the other dishes you would normally expect to find. This is not fine dining.

You come here for comforting food, to have a drink and a good time, and listen to the live music. The service is pleasant although at times a little forgetful or slow. I have never cared as these downsides as I enjoyed myself with a drink and listened to the music. If you go, you need to go with the ‘flow’.

How To Get There

To get there from the The Heritage Silom Hotel walk down Soi Phiphat 2 until you come to the junction with Soi Silom 3 and turn left. When you get to the Silom road turn right. Cross the Silom Road and the restaurant is 40 metres down the road.
